CHECK OUT WHAT MUSIC IS ON DURING YOUR STAY
If any of you have stayed before you’ll be aware in the lower field on Wednesdays and Fridays we host music events.
The fields have a long history of music and events being provided for all to enjoy long before the campsite ever began. We continue to enjoy sharing the space. and the view to good music and great food to go with it.
The music is alerted family friendly, starts and 5pm and finishes and 8pm.

A FIELD WITH A VIEW!
Freshwell camping is situated in a prime location overlooking stunning Croyde Beach. Unlike other campsites, we let you pitch your tent in the location of your choice. All sizes and types of tent are welcome. We are open in the summer school holidays and cater mainly for families and small groups. All you need to do is:
1. Choose your pitch based on your group size.
2. Check it’s available using the calendar.
3. Place your booking deposit.
Services and Facilities
No minimum stay policy
You can stay for just 1 day if you wish or for as many days as we are open throughout the school summer holiday season in July-Aug
Housekeeping
Daily housekeeping is included in the rates. Toilets and showers checked and cleaned twice a day.
Showers
We have shower units running hot and cold water 24 hours a day and free of charge.
Free Parking on Premises
You can park your car beside your pitch area. If possible, we kindly ask that you car-share and keep individual vehicles to a minimum to save space.
Wetsuit washing
We have fresh water bins onsite to wash your wetsuits after taking a dip and riding the waves.
Drinking Water
We have two water taps for drinking water. One is at the sink washing up area, the other is beside the main field entrance as a stand pipe.
Mobile Phone Charging
We have limited availability to re-charge mobile phones however we advise you bring power supplies.
Food & Drink
Our friend Tessa with her Sri Lankan food stall Hippy happy Hoppers is onsite providing freshly made healthy breakfasts, dinners, teas & coconut drinks.
Sink Area
There is a shared/communal sink area for cleaning and washing your cups and plates.
Ice Block Freezing
We offer a service to freeze ice blocks for £1 each time. Please mark your ice blocks to identify them.
Onsite Staff Daily 24/7
There are staff available onsite daily to handle your check in process and to answer any questions about the local area throughout your stay.
No Electrical Hookups
Unfortunately we do not provide mains ‘power-in’ to the tents. We have a limited AC/DC charging facility and therefore recommend you bring portable power supplies.
Important Guidelines
Please take note of the following before booking which we adhere to strictly for health and safety reasons.
Group Bookings: Arrivals / Checkin
We ask that groups arrive within the closest timeframe as possible to ensure speedy checkin. We also request you settle individual balances between yourselves so that we receive full balance payment from one person.
Group Bookings: Numbers
Only the number of people detailed under your booking are permitted to camp during your stay. We reserve the right to decline additional people not listed on your booking without prior notice and updated booking confirmation.
5mph Vehicle Speed Limit
We ask that when driving on the campsite to keep below 5mph at all times. There are lots of children playing when the site is busy.
No Dogs Allowed
We cannot accept dogs for the safety of others. However guide dogs are welcome with their owners. We suggest you click on www.thegooddogguide.com for campsites in Devon that do take dogs.
No under 18 groups
For legal reasons we cannot accept groups of people all under 18 years old. We require at least 1 person to be 18 or over who can be responsible for the group.
No Fires
We do not permit open fires for health and safety reasons. Fire Pits are permitted but please keep them under control. If you wish to use BBQ’s, we can provide bricks at reception.
No Motorhomes OR Caravans
We cannot accommodate motorhomes or caravans unfortunately. We do allow camper vans that are smaller and designed for travel/sleeping. Please contact us to confirm your model van in advance if you are not sure.
No Stag & Hen Groups
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate large single sex groups. We recommend you look up larger caravan parks locally who may be able to accommodate you.

Such an awesome bank holiday weekend at Freshwell. They didn’t pack tents in so you couldn’t move, they made sure there was the right amount of space for everyone to enjoy. Super chilled but nothing was too much trouble. Loved the focus on recycling!
A great place with the best view. Booked online as a surprise to visit my son who was working in Croyde. Turns out I had the biggest surprise. Such a beautiful campsite with amazing views, fantastic people and so accommodating. Without a doubt the best site to stay!! See you next year and thank you for making us feel so welcome.
We really liked the free range camping concept allowing you to choose where you pitch up. The view is superb from the field. Facilities are basic but all you need, ample showers which were always hot and clean toilets. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. A lovely chilled out campsite, we’d stay again!
